MEET AINA COLOM
Our Founder & CEO
Aina Colom is a Mallorcan tax lawyer, specialized in advising companies, high-net-worth individuals, and international investors. Her practice combines strategic thinking, technical precision, and a genuinely client-focused approach.
After more than fifteen years at top-tier firms—where she progressively took on greater responsibility and became part of the management team—Aina founded Colom Legal as the next step in her career, with the aim of offering highly specialized and close advisory services. As a founder, she represents a new generation of female leadership in the legal and tax field: one that leads with experience, rigor, and empathy.
Aina combines strong analytical skills with a collaborative spirit, creating an environment where trust, excellence, and long-term vision come together to support each client with purpose and dedication.

MARÍA VIVES
Lawyer
María holds a Law degree from the University of Barcelona and a Master's in Mediation.
She began her career in the legal and business development department of a startup group in Barcelona, before dedicating a decade to international cooperation in Nepal. There, she founded the NGO Hugging Nepal and led educational and humanitarian projects focused on women’s empowerment, literacy and emergency response.
At Colom Legal, she brings a unique combination of legal expertise, intercultural leadership, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
XAVIER TORRENS
Economist
With a degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Tax Consulting from the University of the Balearic Islands, Xavier specializes in accounting and business management.
He ensures rigorous oversight of accounting and tax obligations, guaranteeing smooth and accurate operations.
As a former elite sailor, he brings discipline, consistency and strong team spirit to every project.

Law & Business Administration
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (2008) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management (2010) from Pompeu Fabra University
2010–2014 Barcelona
Started her career in the tax department of Cuatrecasas while completing a Master in Tax Advisory at ESADE. Built a strong foundation in corporate and international taxation.
2015–2016
Lived and worked in Australia to improve her English, gain global perspective, and explore new professional environments.
2015–2024 Mallorca
At Joan Cerdà & Associats Law Firm - Led the creation and consolidation of the firm’s international tax department, focused on English-speaking clients. Also served as a member of the firm’s management team
2024–Present Mallorca
Launched Colom Legal , her own boutique tax firm providing tailored advisory services to international clients.

Hace unos meses, en el artículo acerca de las cargas deducibles del Impuesto sobre el Patrimonio, exponía la posibilidad de reducir la carga impositiva en el Impuesto sobre el Patrimonio de los no residentes, gracias a la sentencia del Tribunal Superior de Justicia de las Islas Baleares en la que entendía como admisible la reducción de la base imponible del IP las cargas hipotecarias, con independencia de que éstas se hubieran destinado, a la adquisición del inmueble situado en España, lo que permitía incluso, considerar una hipoteca adquirida con posterioridad a la adquisición del inmueble.
